Easter Sugar Cookies

This is an easy desert and fun for the entire family to decorate Easter cookies.

Ingredients

  • Pillsbury 24 count sugar cookies (Pre-cut circles)
  • Betty Crocker Gel pink, blue, red, green 0.67 oz
  • ¾ cup Confectious sugar
  • 2 tsp. of water
  • 2 drops of lemon juice
  • 4 tsp. half/half
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • Edible eyes (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. For bunny designs cut one pre-cut cookie dough into 4 slices using a butter knife. This makes (4 ears). Place on a cookie sheet pre-cut cookie dough circle, and add two ears to each pre-cut cookie dough. Repeat the steps to make more bunny cookies.
  3. For egg designs, mold pre-cut cookie dough into an oval shape. Place on a cookie sheet 2 inches apart from other cookies.
  4. For a cross design, cut 1 pre-cut cookie dough into 3 slices and the third slice cut into half. The two slices form the middle and bottom pieces of the cross, the top part of the cross is the third slice cut in half. Repeat the steps to make more cross designs.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

  8. In a bowl add ¾ cup of confectious sugar, 2 tsp. of water, 2 drops of lemon juice, 4 tsp. of half/half,and 1 tsp. of vanilla. Stir for 2-5 minutes or until fully mixed.
  9. Next use a butter knife to spread frosting on each cookie and then use the edible gels to create some designs for your Easter bunnies, eggs and crosses.
