Marsala Chicken

Seriously the Best Marsala Chicken!
Ingredients
- 1 pack of chicken breast or tenders
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves or 2 tsp. of minced garlic
- 1 cup of Italian bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. of Thyme seasoning
- 1 tsp. of Italian seasoning
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of pepper
- 8 oz. pack of white mushrooms
- 1 cup of Marsala cooking wine
- 4 tsp. of olive oil
Directions
- Marsala Chicken Recipe:
- Melt a stick of butter in a pan on the stove-top or use a microwave safe dish and melt for 1 min or until butter is fully melted.
- In separate bowl mix the dry ingredients: 1 tsp of Thyme, 1 tsp. of Italian seasoning, a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper, and 1 cup of Italian bread crumbs together.
- Dip the chicken in the melted butter, followed by dipping it into the dry Italian seasoning mix.
- In a pan on medium-heat, add 4 tsp. of olive oil and place coated chicken in a pan for 5-10 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove cooked chicken from the pan to a plate. Next, add chopped onions, chopped garlic, and a pack of mushrooms to the pan. You may need to add a little more olive oil or butter. Caramelize for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chicken back to the pan, add 1 cup of Marsala cooking wine over chicken, cover with a lid, and reduce heat to a simmer. Leave on a simmer/low- heat for 20-30 minutes or until chicken is fully white/cooked inside.
Note: The sauce in the pan makes a great sauce to add over mash potatoes and drizzle on top of chicken when served.
